Dr. Mahtani Awarded Prestigious Forbes Award

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, noted businessman and philanthropist from Zambia, was recently felicitated with one of the most prestigious awards by Forbes. The Forbes presented Dr. Rajan Mahtani with ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the year’ award 2021 for his outstanding contributions in redefining the banking sector of Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani received this award with grace and humbleness and thanked God for his support and blessings. Dr. Rajan Mahtani said that despite the various challenges he has faced in his life as well as the significant trials & tribunals that constantly tried to pester him down, his passion towards business and dedication towards the Zambian nation and its people as well as complete faith in the God’s grace and blessings helped him overcome each and every challenge that was put in his path.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Rajan Mahtani said that he is deeply honoured and humbled with the award which is the result of his significant perseverance despite the numerous trials and tribunals that came to his path. He is born as Christian and his CEO his Jesus Christ. Dr. Rajan Mahtani commended and thanked his team for their significant contributions, carrying out major responsibilities and ensuring success of each and every project undertaken by Dr. Rajan Mahtani.

While Dr. Mahtani has numerous successful ventures and businesses under his name, one of the most successful and notable companies has been Mahtani Group of Companies which was established in 1981 in Zambia. In no time, the company expanded to national and international locations including South Africa, Malawi and international locations such as UK. At the same time, the company transformed itself into a conglomerate by expanding to numerous sectors such as mining, agriculture, financial & insurance services, real estate and energy. The philanthropic and charitable contributions from Dr. Rajan Mahtani are also significant. He founded the Prison Fellowship Zambia, contributed to Agriculture sector as well as to education sector with establishment of Stephen Malama award for law graduates.
