Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani Accepts Forbes Philanthropy Award

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is among the most successful businessmen in Zambia as well as Africa. He is known not only for his business achievements and corporate entrepreneurship, but also for his philanthropic contributions towards Zambia as well as towards Africa. After nearly four decades of hard work and dedicated passion, these contributions by Dr. Mahtani were recognised on an international level. Forbes is one of the top business magazines across the globe and is known for its rankings of people, businesses and more. Across Africa, Forbes is known for its ‘Best of Africa’ awards. These awards are presented to the leading lights in the field of business and philanthropy.

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was presented with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award. Forbes recognised the contributions by Dr. Rajan Mahtani towards redefining the banking sector of Zambia and conferred him with this award. Dr. Rajan Mahtani accepted the award in a humble manner, thanking Almighty God for his support and favour despite facing numerous challenges in his life. In a similar manner, Dr. Rajan Mahtani thanked his teams for their support and carrying out the activities that would eventually help in success of his businesses.

The Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards was a significant ceremony held in conjunction with the Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference. Mark Furlong, the founder and Publisher of the Forbes International as well as Forbes Afrique Media (FAM) anchored the event. The award ceremony was officiated by notable people, including Vice President of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajo.
Dr. Rajan Mahtani was recognised by Forbes for his numerous business and philanthropic contributions. He is the owner of top companies in Zambia including Mahtani Group and Finsbury Investments. In a similar manner, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has made several philanthropic contributions over the years. Some of these contributions are Prison Fellowship Zambia as well as Stephen Malama award and scholarship for top law graduates in Zambia.
