Philanthropic Achievements By Dr. Mahtani Rewarded By Forbes

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, after several years of philanthropic activities and charitable contributions, was finally recognised at an international level. This recognition came from Forbes, a leading business magazine across the globe. Forbes recently conducted the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony in Africa. The Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards s are given to the leading lights in the field of business and philanthropy. It is one of the most anticipated and regarded philanthropy awards in entire Africa. First, the awards are presented by Forbes which is known for its globally recognised ranking practices such as leading entrepreneurs, top businesses, top companies and similar. Second, the process of selecting the awardees is extremely transparent yet rigorous. This process comprises of months of verification processes as well as background checks. This is followed by interviews and discussions with the potential awardees to understand their commitment towards philanthropy as a means to achieve long-term empowerment across the Zambian nation. Based on these inferences, the final awardees were selected. This award ceremony was hosted by Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was also invited in this event as an honorary speaker and discussed about the significance of healthcare leadership. The Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference, which usually takes place in New York, was held virtually to comply with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Members participated in this event from their respective locations.

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, apart from being invited as an honorary speaker at the FIN event, was also selected for one of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards. Forbes recognised the significant contributions by Dr. Rajan Mahtani over the years, especially towards redefining the banking sector of Zambia. As such, Forbes conferred Dr. Rajan Mahtani with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. Dr. Rajan Mahtani thanked Almighty God for his support, giving him the strength and perseverance especially during the struggling period of his life.
