Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani Replies Back To Fraudulent Allegations With Press Statement

One of the most ethical and transparent businessmen in Zambia, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been continuously fighting negative claims, fake news and negative reputation against his. These unethical and fraudulent news and rumours are continuously shared across social media platforms with the objective of damaging Dr. Mahtani’s reputation.

One of the most controversial claims which was made against Dr. Rajan Mahtani in recent times came from the family of one of his oldest friends. Dr. Rajan Mahtani has maintained a transparent professional and personal relationship with Levy Mwanawasa, the late ex-President of Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani maintained friendship with the late president even before he started his presidency. As such, the recent claim by Miriam Mwanawasa, the daughter of the late President was extremely surprising. Miriam Mwanawasa recently shared a Facebook post in which she claimed that Dr. Rajan Mahtani wanted to take over the farm land at the Masaiti District which belonged to the Mwanawasa family. However, there was no such truth in this claim and it was shared on the social media platform without any evidence or testimonial to prove its authenticity.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani gave a fitting reply to this ludicrous claim by releasing a press statement. In this press statement, Dr. Rajan Mahtani clarified the rumour by clearly stating that he did not made any such claims and he had no intention of making any purchase from the Mwanawasa family. In his press statement, Dr. Rajan Mahtani also claimed that the claims made against him were malicious and were posted with the objective of spreading negative news about Dr. Rajan Mahtani so that his reputation and business suffers. As such, these claims are ludicrous and malicious. Dr. Rajan Mahtani also said that he will take appropriate actions against this unethical and malicious claim against him.

While Dr. Mahtani rarely replies to allegations and negative news, in this case reply was necessary considering the relationship he shared with the late ex-President of Zambia.
