Dr. Rajan Mahtani Supports Abolishment Of Death Penalty

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani has applauded the decision made by the Zambian President on death penalty by stating that only an individual who is compassionate as has serious respect for the law, human dignity as well as fundamental human rights will be able to make such bold decisions. Dr. Rajan Mahtani further applauded the Zambian President for respecting the need towards ending such an inhumane, cruel as well as degrading punishment.
According to the statistics presented by Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, the consensus across the globe towards complete abolishment of the cruel and inhumane practice of death penalty is growing, as such, President of Zambia has been commended for leading the path towards respecting the fundamental right to live. Even in Zambia, the consensus towards abolishment of death penalty has been growing significantly. As such, the stance taken by the Zambian President is not only unwavering and bold, but also a step in the right direction. He further stated that this decision is a step towards God’s reward towards continuous healing and blessing the people of Zambia as well as Zambian nation.
Dr. Rajan Mahtani stated that there are more than 350 inmates with death penalty in Zambia with minimum 25-30 women. All these inmates are already living a life of punishment, unknown and the fear of being executed every day. As such, this punishment is hard enough for these inmates. At the same time, Dr. Mahtani said that he has personally observed people transform under the gospel and teachings of Jesus Christ wherein several inmates have started to dedicate their lives towards Jesus Christ and his services.
Dr. Mahtani also noted that most of the previous Presidents have avoided death penalty by using different prerogatives. However, none of them actually worked towards abolishment of the tradition from its core. The current President of Zambia has taken the right step towards this direction and Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani along with his company Prison Fellowship Zambia has extended full support towards this mission.
