Dr. Rajan Mahtani Wins Notable Forbes ‘Best Of Africa’ Recognition

Forbes Africa Connect completed its annual Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony. It is one of the most prestigious and notable philanthropy and corporate awards in Africa. The awards are presented to leading lights in the field of philanthropy and empowerment and Dr. Rajan Mahtani was one of the recipients of this prestigious award. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a noted businessman and philanthropist in Zambia with several successful businesses and critical charitable and philanthropic contributions spanning more than three decades. However, it can be said that it is one of the few times Dr. Mahtani’s contributions were recognized on a global level. The Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards are created by Forbes itself, which is known as one of the top business magazines across the globe. Furthermore, the process of selecting the candidates is extremely rigorous and transparent. The process comprises months of verification and background checks, followed by interviews and discussions with the potential recipients to understand their views on philanthropy to achieve long-term empowerment of the African nation.

The Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony was held in conjunction with the Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference. It is one of the top philanthropy and leadership business conferences across Africa. The roundtable conference is usually held in New York. However, this year’s conference was held virtually because of the ongoing pandemic. However, the event saw participation from several leaders, businesses, and other personalities from their respective locations in a virtual medium. Also, the Forbes-FIN event was broadcasted across the globe via YouTube medium. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was also invited to this event as an honorary speaker and discussed the significance of leadership in healthcare.

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, for his contributions towards redefining the banking sector of Zambia, was conferred with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. Dr. Mahtani accepted the award humbly and thanked Almighty God as well as his teams for their support.
