Forbes Presents Dr. Rajan Mahtani With The Prestigious International Business Award

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessman and philanthropist, was recently conferred with ‘Best of Africa’ awards by Forbes. Forbes recognised the contributions of Dr,. Rajan Mahtani towards the banking industry of Zambia and conferred him with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the year’ award 2021. The award ceremony is generally takes place in United States, New York. However, this year’s award ceremony was held online via YouTube medium due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was one of the eminent personalities selected for this award ceremony and first businessman from Zambia to be recognised for such a prestigious and globally known award. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was recognised for his leadership in philanthropy and business.

Members of the Forbes business presented this award during the FIN (Foreign Investment Network) leadership and philanthropy roundtable discussions that was held online recently. Several members of international business community graced the event which included entrepreneurs, policy makers, members from international business communities, media partners, opinion leaders, religious leaders as well as international investors. The awards hold special significance for African business society and are looked up by media and businesses due to the rigorous and authentic selection process of the awardees. The process includes months of verifications, background checks as well as series of discussions and interviews with the potential recipients regarding business leadership as well as philanthropy. Mark Furlong, the founder of Forbes Afrique Media (FAM) and Forbes International, anchored the event. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani accepted this award humbly and said that he was honoured to receive this award.
