Portland Cement Zambia Case Misdirected, Claims Dr. Rajan Mahtani

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is a noted businessman in Zambia. Over the course of three decades, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has achieved numerous achievements in the form of successful businesses. Some of his top companies are Mahtani Group of Companies and Finsbury Investments. For the past ten years, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been fighting for the rightful ownership of Portland Cement Zambia, a factory which was illegally taken away from him. After this illegal takeover, Dr. Rajan Mahtani launched a case against at the Lusaka High Court. However, the limitations of the Zambian law and government have resulted in constant failure for Dr. Rajan Mahtani. During the course of case proceedings spanning almost a decade, Dr. Rajan Mahtani shared numerous documents and evidences which support his real and legal ownership over the factory. Some of these evidences included signed shareholder’s agreement, testimonials, and reports confirming investments over the factory. Another important document was an independent audit report which confirmed that the factory was established as a joint venture and Dr. Rajan Mahtani was the sole joint venture owner.

The judge overlooking the case made some positive announcements a few months back when it was revealed by the judge that the case hearing is closed.
