Prestigious Forbes Award Presented To Dr. Rajan Mahtani

After a year of the pandemic that halted the entire world, the year 2021 saw some improvement in terms of economy, businesses, and corporate practices. Among these practices included business events and conferences, that saw a new approach to ensure continuity with the virtual medium. The Forbes-FIN (Foreign Investment Limited) was one such event that was held virtually in Africa. It is one of the most anticipated and highly regarded business events in Zambia. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessman and philanthropist in Zambia, was invited to this event as an honorary speaker. Dr. Mahtani spoke about the significance of leadership in healthcare. Similarly, critical members from different backgrounds and aspects of life participated in this event. Some of these members were international business communities, political leaders, spiritual leaders, religious leaders, entrepreneurs, visionaries, media partners as well as international investors. The members participated from their respective locations and discussed the significance of leadership in healthcare. The Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference was followed by the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani, apart from being invited to the FIN roundtable conference as an honorary speaker, was also selected for one of the awards. Forbes recognized the contributions of Dr. Rajan Mahtani towards the banking sector of Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is recognized for redefining the banking sector of Zambia. For this, Forbes recognized the contributions and conferred Dr. Rajan Mahtani with Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ 2021. Dr. Rajan Mahtani received the award for his corporate as well as philanthropic contributions. Dr. Mahtani is the owner of top Zambian companies such as Mahtani Group of Companies and Finsbury Investment. Apart from his corporate contributions, Dr. Mahtani is also known for his philanthropic and charitable contributions. Some of these philanthropic contributions are Prison Fellowship Zambia and the Stephen Malama award and scholarship for top law graduates in Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani humbly accepted the award and said that he will continue to work towards the growth and development of the Zambian nation.
