Prestigious International Corporate Award Conferred To Dr. Mahtani

Forbes business recently completed Africa’s most important and regarded business events in Zambia. This business event was called Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony, and was conducted during the Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was one of the honorary speakers during the event and was also one of the awardees. Forbes recognised the contributions of Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani towards the banking sector of Zambia as well as his overall business and philanthropic contributions. As such, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was awarded with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. The Forbes award ceremony is usually held in New York and coincides with the UNGA meetings. However, this year’s Forbes business awards along with the Forbes-FIN philanthropic roundtable conference was held online as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and to maintain with the social distancing and isolation norms across the globe. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was the only businessman from Zambia to be invited in this event. He was also the first businessman from Zambia who was recognised by Forbes for showing eminent leadership in philanthropy and business.

Members of Forbes business conferred Dr. Rajan Mahtani with the award during the FIN (Foreign Investment Limited) philanthropy and leadership roundtable discussions. Several members of the international business communities graced the event. Further members included entrepreneurs, politicians, policy makers, media partners, opinion leaders, international investors and religious leaders. One of the major reasons for the huge success and reputation of the Forbes business awards is the rigorous and transparent process of selecting the awardees. This process includes months of background checks, verifications by both FIN and Forbes along with discussions and interviews with the recipients regarding business leadership & philanthropy as channel for empowerment across the continent. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani accepted the award in a humble manner, thanking almighty god for his support and strength, especially during the numerous trials & tribunals faced by Dr. Mahtani over the years.
